Public Rights of Way maps in the UK can be quite complicated matters. We have put this site together to try and help you understand various aspects of Public Rights of Way Maps.

A public right of way is a highway over which the public have a right of access along a linear route. The nature of the right determines the type of way, which can be either a public Footpath or Bridleway,  with a bridleway The right of way is on foot, on horseback or on a bicycle.

Ordnance Survey maps will show public Rights of Way and land owner granted Rights of way.  Rights of Way are not shown on Maps in Scotland.
